Contains 96 autograph manuscript and typescript letters and postcards, chiefly to Fatima Samoilenko, and a few to her husband Boris Samoilenko, concerning the progress of Prokofiev's compositions, the status of his concert engagements and his involvement in various productions of his works. He mentions his opera Love for Three Oranges (Li︠u︡bovʹ k trem apelʹsinam), his ballet The Tale of the Buffoon (Le Chout), Piano Concerto no. 3, and others. Prokofiev also enlists the Samoilenkos' help in bringing his mother, Maria Grigoryevna Prokofieva, to Paris. Also includes a crossword puzzle and sonnets composed by Prokofiev, as well as clippings concerning Prokofiev and his wife Carolina Codina, also known under her stage name as Lina Llubera.
